How to tame a psychotic vampire (Shakur+Hannachu)
Of all the places in the world... Why did so many mental vampires have to gather in one place!? Hartwin was furious. The giant vampires mood wasn't that obvious for others around him, as he calmly walked out of the building, where Chaos' power seemed to lie. Looking back on the days events and what had just happened, Hartwin had started to wonder if that power had turn volatile and would soon detenate destroying the whole gang.
One more leather jacket destroyed. Such a waste. The vampire took off his bloody coat without stopping even as he threw it away. It landed on a dumbster from where some poor gangmember would have to clean it up on garbage duty. New York in total didn't have much of a system for garbage disposal, which was clearly visible on the less fortunate sectors. Neither did Chaos, but every now and them some unlucky bastard managed to fuck up properly and was ordered to clean up the gangs area.
Wearing only a once white – now partially the color of dry blood – dress shirt and black straight pants, the rather sizeable vampire walked forward. His black armyboots had lost their earlier spotlessnes, thanks to the ironically maddenin day Hartwin had endured.
It was time for ansvers. The german had more than one problem in his hands and was determinted to solve even one of them today. The one he desicided to tackle first wasn't maybe the most critical one, but Hartwin had the feeling it might end up being his undoing, if he didn't try to solve it before he started to work on the bigger ones.
Small monsters don't naturally seem as dangerous as the big ones, but imagine getting a small monster on your back while fighting a big one... As Hartwin approached the smaller monsters lair he had decided to find a way to tame it. If it turned out to be impossible he might have to get rid of it. Which was a depressing thought. If for no other reason for all the times Hartwin had got beaten up because he didn't want to kill Luca, but contain the younger vampires rage.
Knock on Lucas 'lairs' door didn't really sound like a knock. More like a bang as the giant vampires fist hit it. Once. Then twice if there was no ansver. Luca could probably smell the dry blood on Hartwins clothes. The blood the german had shed while acting as a meatshield between Luca and the two vampire women at Catherines appartment.

That day had turned to be incredibly strange. Luca could not have foreseen such turn of events even if he had possessed the gift of foreseeing. He had returned from his "trip" earlier, and had been ordered to go and help with move out of the newest member. Luca, who was as antisocial as one could get, didn't like the order one bit.
He still went. And it turned out to be a bad decision. He remembered up to the point where he had flasbacks of his human life, and then the world had gone black. And he had gone on a rampage. His body still ached from being shot five times with dead man's blood. And the beating he had received from the giant vampire.. Well, they were almost healed up, but bruises still remained, thanks to the poison making his recovery slower.
Hartwin had told him what he had done. Luca couldn't believe it. He had thought of Ezzie as Kaya. How could he make such stupid mistake? He let out a deep sight, covering in his own "house", hiding in the shadows of a corner. He was remorsing over what he had done. And going through the weird converstation Hartwin had had with Reed. The gigantic vampire had stood up for him, and no matter what the reasons were, he felt slightly happy, for the first time after being turned.
Luca woke up from his thoughts as he heard a loud banging from his door. Slowly he stood up and walked to the door. He could smell the dried blood of Hartwin, and Luca feared what was coming. Maybe Hartwin had come to get his revenge for hurting Ezzie. Gulping down his own fears, he opened the door to see the huge vampire behind it.
"What do you want?", Being antisocial really left him with no manners. And by hating those around, he didn't care for manners. His speech was more like a whisper.

As he stood at the little monsters lair, Hartwin tried to recall the moment things went south. What most vampires around him didn't know was – Hartwin isn't able to forget things. Or well... That's not exactly how it works, eventually some small details started to fade as his brain made room for new information. But it took usually years for even the most trivial detail of a comptely trivial moment to fade. It had been like that for him even as a human. Turning into a vampire made it even worse.
Yes, worse. In many way it was a very usefull tool for an over analytic person, but at the same time it took a toll on his emotional capacity. Imagine being able to remember everything you have seen, heard or experienced. Imagine things you would rather forget about being in your head as compressed pictures, you can't delete. Imagine that a simple word or smell can trigger one of those pictures and considering the amount of them... It's amazing Hartwin can actually function on a such high level of intelligence and focuse.
It used to be that sometimes so unspeakable gets triggered it does actually mentally paralize the giant vampire. Nowdays there is only one name remaining, that when said it could trigger memories so bad that they would break the german down. Thankfully only one person in this entire world knows it.
To get back to the point, as Hartwin stood on the little monsters lairs doorway, he tried to dig up the critical moments of the past few months. To find out if it could really just be Catherine bringing all this comotion up or was she acting just as a reactive regent. Being the final addition to coctail that is Reed's maddness. If he could pinpoint those critical moments, he would find the bigger monsters true weakspot.
Naturally, Catherine was one. But a very dangerous one. Hartwin didn't want Reed to explode, just to crumble down.
As Luca opened his door, Hartwin had to put aside those thoughts. He couldn't get completely rid of them, which was impossible for his brain, but he showed them to the background.
”I need to pick your brain.”, the giant vampire replied, looking like some aryan god of war with his bloody clothes and shirt all ripped up. Yes, he knew exactly how his words might sound to the little monsters ears. Considering most vampires around Hartwin had this image of him as completely humorless piece of cold concrete, he had no expectations that Luca would take it as a sarcastic joke either.
Ezzie was probably the only being in the entire world who would have laughed at what the blonde giant said. Because she knew the truth. She had seen the little tiny piece left of the person Hartwin Karl Schäfer had been before he was turned into a vampire.
It probably wasn't even the turning into a vampire part that had slowly suffocated the man Hartwin used to be. This would have most likely happened to the german giant even if he had stayed a human. Well.. To some decree atleast.
It was his mind, forcing Hartwin to chance so he wouldn't fall down and break.
Never the less, that was what he needed to do. Pick Luca's brain. Somehow if you think about it, the two vampires wheren't that much different from eachother. They both had something they couldn't control forcing them to chance. Hopefully in Lucas case the 'something' could be supressed or handled.
Hartwin's case becomming braindead would have probably helped.
”We need to figure out what's going inside your head and how to stop your little breakdowns.”, straight to business. Hartwin didn't see nessesery to mention that if they couldn't find a way, they would probably lead in someone dying and/or the giant vampire having to chop the little monsters head off.
Hitting someone that's already beat had always seemed like a useless waste of time.

The giant's answer came as a suprise to the younger vampire. At first he did not know what to think of it. Pick his brain? Mental images of the giant picking on his brain gave him the shivers. Luca tilted his head and shook it a bit to remove those images out of his head.
Instead of welcoming the vampire with words, he moved out of his way so the giant could get in if he wished to. "I'm not too happy about that.", Luca replied finally. He had stuff on his table that he did not wish for anyone else to see before they would be complete; his weaponary. An array of wepons ripped apart to be completed as new stood there waiting for him, along with his notes.
Luca went to sit on his bed, leavign the chait to be taken by Hartwin if the man desired to sit down. He didn't know exactly what the giant would do, and it bothered him. How could they figure out what caused his breakdowns? Luca didn't think Hartwin possessed the skills of an psychologist, so he was really worried that the giant would literally pick his brains.
"So, what do you want to know, then?", He asked in a low voice. You could sense his unhappiness from his tone. Luca was ready to throw it all out in the open for Hartwin, god only knows why. Maybe he was concerned for his own well-being, or then he had started to grow fond of the large vampire. He had been happy about Hartwin sticking up to him, but he told himself to forget such feelings. They'd do him no good. He was supposed to hate life and have no other emotions than rage, so why feel happy now? He would only get his revenge and then end his own life, one way or the other.
Thinking about suicide made him think of Ryan. Luca missed Ryan, even now, many years later. A sigh escaped from the young vampires lips, and he showed such thoughts to the back of his head. He focused the gaxe of his red eyes to the giant vampire.

”That would make one assume you are cabable of being happy in the first place.” the pale pigmented giant replied. It wasn't ment as an insult or an attempt to mock Luca, as the young vampire could read from Hartwins tone of voice – which was merely observing.
Then again, who was the german to speak of happiness. Wasn't he the one who almost all the vampires in Chaos considered cold and calculating. Not that it was completely wrong, that was exactly how Hartwin wanted to be seen. That was exactly what he was to vampires around him he wanted to keep at a distance.
Besides, counting all the lunatics in sight, the gang really needed atleast one person to think straight.
Hartwin had to bow his head when he entered the little monsters lair, that alone was something to consider when thinking about the vampires size. Most doorways where too low for him to just walk through.
As he stood in Lucas.. Well, lets call it a house, Hartwin looked around. One proper throughout look was good enough and he could remember what the little monsters lair looked like from the inside. Not much. There was very little of anything truly personal around. Then again, not many vampires that had turned to Chaos had much to begin with.
But usually you could find atleast something that told you even a hint about what the vampire was like. Ofcourse, the weapons and blueprints told their own story of their owner, but you can't exactly call it a personal detail. Atleast not one that Hartwin didn't know already. Everybody knew Luca was handy with weapons development.
”How did you learn to work with weapons? It's not a trick you pick up on every street corner. Not for the skill level you have.”, Hartwin nodded towards Lucas workspace, which was the complete opposite to his own. The german liked keeping things neat and in order, where the little monster wasn't messy just inside his head.
The guestion wasn't probably what Luca had waited for when Hartwin announced he want to pick Luca's brain. Understanding where the little monster came from and what had led him here was essential on figuring out what the hell was going on in his head when the 'events' occured.

As a response for the giant's remark about his feelings, the young vampire let out a warning hiss. He didn't want to be told what he was capable of feeling and what he was not. He wanted to stone his heart in order to carry out what he had promised to do, to himself. And feeling of happiness didn't have a part in that.
Luca watched as the giant came and studied his house with a quick look. He didn't own anything that was of personal value to him, as he had thrown out such feelings when he realized he had been turned into one of those he hunted. He considered his life as a human to be his "past life", and thus he did not feel the need to own anything. He would, although, miss his guitar from time to time, but those were the times where he wished to be human again.
The gian'ts question was a bit of a suprise. Luca had expected to giant start asking questions like "what was your childhood like" or "what makes you flip?". He pondered for a while for his answer, on how much to tell the giant. Even thought he was ready to lay his past open, he wasn't sure how much of his past he wanted to reveal.
"I learned them while studying in the Heaven Institute.", He told the giant. He didn't actually want to start remembering the stuff about his humanity, and speaking about it would defitinately force him to think, and to remeber.
"I first learned about mechanics from my father, and later on in school, and then I got interested in weaponary, which led me to study them. The Heaven Institute offers good courses for such purposes.", His voice was a bit shaky, and still very quiet, which would tell about him being uncomfortable about speaking. Flashbacks and memories started to pour into his head the more he talked. He narrowed his red eyes and stared at the floor, waiting for the giant to either mock him, or continue with his questions.

Saddly enough Hartwin had no other choise than to dig into Luca's past. Considering the little monster had his first episode just after arriving to join Chaos, the reason for them had to be found in time before that. There was also the fact that Luca seemed to completely space out while he was rampaging, waking up from the nightmare when knocked out, with no memory of what had happened.
It lead Hartwin to believe, the cause was deeply rooted into the little monsters psyche. Which... Was really fucking troublesome.
”I used to study weaponry and mechanis aswell, but that was alot longer ago. Late 1930's.”, the blond vampire took a step closer to look at Luca's work. It might have seem trivial and even somehow weird that the giant desided to share a detail of himself after listening to the little monster revealing his past in Heaven. ”Back then we had something called 'the belt buckle pistol'. Two 7,65mm barrels and lockwork concealed within a beltbuckle. 2-inch long barrels and you had to stand very close to even fire a lethal shot. Ofcouse it was experimental at that point and developed quickly during the war.”
If one was paying attention, the way Hartwin talked just a touch slower than usually while keeping his voice so calm it was almost soft, could be noticed. Pushing the little monster into another psychosis wasn't very frutefull when trying to figure out what was causing them. Atleast not when the german had just got started.
Hence Hartwin thought it would be a good idea to try to distract the young vampire by telling him something he wasn't expecting to hear. We could call it sharing, be all caring and loving. But at the end of the day it was a tool the giant was using to get to where he needed to go. Hartwin simply didn't know Luca well enough to truly care.
Which probably should be understandable looking at what the world had become.
Hartwin knew Luca could now count down to how old the german was. Basicly he already knew more than even Zira and Reed, who basicly knew the giants age and nationality. Honestly Hartwin didn't see Luca being truly interested in such things, but the distraction was needed.
”Not many Heaven institute scolars get turned into vampires. So far I've noticed most vampires rather kill heaven scum than turn them to us. Why do you think you where an exception?”, Hartwin continnues with his almost smooth tone. It sounded almost unreal, since his voice was still so deep and rough at the same time.
Not to mention that german accent... that was everything but smooth.

If Hartwin had wanted to throw Luca off guard by sharing things about himself, he had succeeded. Luca seemed troubled that the giant would share about his past as well. Was he playing mindgames, or what could be the reason for someone like Hartwin to share? Luca looked at the older vampire with caution in his bloodred eyes.
Hartwin's "story" about the early weapons made Luca interested. He had always liked weapons and he would have loved to hear more from Hartwin, but this was not the time nor the place. There was too much "bad blood" between them, that Luca doubted that they would never be able to get down and talk about things they both seemed to enjoy; weapons and mechanics.
The questions continued, concealed in a carefully chosen words. Luca felt slightly depressed when he realized that the giant would search for answers untill he was satisfied, and there was no room for him to make questions.
"It was because of an experiment.", The hatred was now very clear in his voice. Ever since he had learned why he had been turned, he had felt nothing more than hatred against the woman behind this. "I was turned for the sake of Kaya van Hell's experiments.", Luca nearly spat the words out of his mouth with a deep, regret filled growl. That woman had destoyed his life, and Luca had promised to kill the woman.
"She is the reason I am always hungry.", His grin was wicked and he looked up to Hartwin, with hate in his eyes and a wicked grin parting his lips. "I can never truly get enough. I wish she would have killed me.", Luca didn't mean to reveal his suicidal thoughts to Hartwin, and as soon as the words had left his lips his expression changed. He cursed himself in his thoughts.

End of the day, it wasn't just Hartwin who needed to get to the bottom of Luca's problems to figure out how to if not maintain the little monsters psychosis - to learn how to snap him out of it faster. Knocking the vampire senseless did work, but consideing the vampire in guestion was a solid fighter - it usually took a while.
Killing is easy. For humans that fact always seemed to cause trouble to digest, even tho they where the most efficient species on killing their own kind to walk the earth. Hartwin had been a soldier in his human life, one that chose the path of a Heer officer whillingly. He had killed tens if not hundreds of people before already, even before he was turned. Thing is, it's easy not to think about it during a war. It had been so easy even for a rather kind man to distance himself and give the order to fire.
You'd think the blood wasn't on his hands, but it was. He was given an order, he followed it by giving another one. That's how people in war work.
So killing is easy. Containing isn't much harder. If you're a human containing a human. Containing a vampire on a rampage without killing it... Now, that's tricky. In his bones Hartwin felt a war comming and he really needed to find a way to contain Luca better. In a way it was the german covering his bases, considering the possibility that Reed knew the nature of Lucas 'illness' better and could use it against ones that might rise against the current leader of Chaos.
"That is why you where seeing Ezzie as Kaya van Hell.", one mystery solved. Tho, it had been already clear Luca was seeing things and in his nightmare Ezzie had unfornately been picked to play the role of Kaya van Hell - Now Hartwin also knew why Kaya.
This was truly ironical. The whole thing was so damn karmaticly ironical it almost made Hartwin burst into laughter, just thining about what had happened at Catherine's appartment and who Luca had end up shooting. Who Catherine really was.
Hartwin managed to mask his sudden need to fall down and roll on the floor laughing. The urge didn't even crack the surface of his mask. But it was easier not looking at Luca, since... Combining the young vampires rage and agony with current events. C'mon, it could make marble statues laugh.
It also made you think about what had the boy done to deserve all this universal torture. Even then, Hartwin had lived long enough to know the only one who can truly torture you is you. The german even had his own twisted game going on himself, by not killing his grangran...daughter, the vampire hunter seeking to slay her ancestory.
"Have you considered she was merely following an order?", the former nazi officer turned his head over his shoulder to look at the young vampire. "Heaven and Hell are at war with eachother. Atleast I'm sure that's what you thought as a someone trained to kill vampires. As a weapon technician you probably designed or improved weapons to kill vampires more efficiently.", Hartwin turned back to look at the weapon Luca was currently working on. His voice still remained calm, but then again it usually was. As an officer with a preusian upbringing he was thought that if you could get people to listen and obey without screaming your head off - you where ten times the commander.
Then again, scream and shout enough and people around you will get used to it.
"Even if she happened to have specific personal cruelty towards you, end of the day it's still just war. She most likely did the exactly same thing to others aswell, experiments don't work with just one test subject.", Hartwin picked up the weapon from Luca's table to take a better look at it. He had been talking so much today - it was probably a new record for the usually silent vampire.
"Heaven kills vampires, without a doubt does experiements on them. Hell kills heaven agents and apparently experiments aswell. Maybe it was Kaya van Hells own experiment you where chosen for and had nothing to do with orders given from above.", Hartwin felt like he was giving a speech again, just like had done to Reed not long ago. The reason he didn't give Luca a chance to repply or ask guestions was simple. He didn't want to be derayled into a emotional comotion, when trying to get the little monster to see a valid point.
Luca could ofcourse scream and interrupt by attack at any moment, but Hartwin kept going for aslong as he could. The giant wampire purposly didn't talk about vampires as 'us' or 'we'. He couldn't care less how many vamps Heaven slaughtered or didn't slaughter, aslong as they didn't come on his doorstep. He wasn't too happy about Hell's approach either, hence he was here. In Chaos.
"It's just war. What makes your pain so special? The fact that you are always hungry? Or that you where turned into the thing you hated and hunted?", finally there was a guestion. The german had well noticed the suicidal sound in Luca's sad song.
Hartwin desided to try to get the young vampire to snap out of his selfpity, it wasn't doing the little monster any favours.

Luca listened to Hartwin for a long time, and after he had asked his last question, he fell silent for a long time. He was thinking of the answer he could give to the giant, but at first he couldn't figure out what to answer. He didn't want to seem weak in the giant's eyes, in anyone's eyes. In the end it couldn't have been avoided, maybe. The truth was that he was still a weak and miserable vampire.
"She destroyed my life. I don't care if it was orders or not, I bear hatred against her that will never subside.", At last he opened his mouth, telling the pathethic truth about himself. He still wished to go back in time, he wished to be a human again. But in time, he had come accept the truth that there was no going back. He had searched for a way to cure one of vampirism, but there was no way.
"I'll tell you all about it.", He sighed and closed his eyes. He let his memories vander back in time, to that faitful day.
"It started as a routine check up. We were supposed to check what an eyewitness had seen in an old church. We headed there, and didn't think there would be any vampires. As we got into the church, we were attacked by a vampire. There were just the two of us, and we were soon split up. I fought a vampire that turned me, but I let my mind vander too much and that caused me to fail.
It was a fatal wound.", He stopped and touched his chest, where his bore the X-shaped scar. "And after that, I was fed on and turned. And slammed through a wall infront of my partner.", Luca decided to keep quiet about Ryan being his lover. He wasn't practically ashamed about it, but he felt the need to protect his identity.
"Before I snapped today, I had a violent flashback about that night. That's all I remember.", There, now Hartwin knew pretty much everything. Had he been breathing, Luca would have take a deep breath. He sighed, out of humane habits, looking at his own hands. He had never wished for it to turn this way. Luca was keen on caryring out his revenge, and then to end his own life.

Luca did tell Hartwin what had happened to him, but he didn't ansver the key guestion. 'What makes your pain so special?' The little monster shoudln't feel bad about it, the german wasn't expecting the young vampire to gasp the insanely fundamental idea in just a few moments.
After all, it had took the expectionally intelligent and clear minded giant years to figure out. Frustrating part was, there was really no way for Hartwin to force Luca to understand. He could explain until his tongue fell out, but the young vampire... Needed to want to understand for it to make any difference.
Without interruptions Hartwin listened to the little monster sad and tragic tail. But it was nothing the over 200-year-old giant hadn't heard before. Naturally it felt different for the person who had actually experienced it, but considering Luca was now basicly immortal - the young vampire really needed to start making new history for himself.
"Revenge is fine.", The former Major repplied against all odds. This is the part where Hartwin should have continnues this educational speech by lecturing Luca about how revenge was selfdestructive, useless, stupid and all that. Truth to be told, there wasn't one person alive or dead that had wronged the giant and gotten completely away with it. Hartwin believed in revenged and knew from personal experience it could be usefull tool. Very satisfying and selfcompleting.
"But unless you know how it will benefit you after you've got your revenge, it's a numb point. You're just wasting your time." Hartwin placed the weapon Luca had been working on back on the table. Revenge for revenges sake was very rarely worth it. No matter how much the giant vampire believed in the eye for eye philosophy of the ancient romans. Pure revenge worked for Hartwin, since he was able to truly seperate this thoughts and feelings to function.
This wasn't the case with Luca however, which was clearly visible. In the little monsters lair, on his face and the way he talked about his death.
"I will help you to get your revenge.", Hartwin suddenly promised as he put his hands in his pockets. The promise was truely sudden, but it wasn't made lightly. For one, the giant knew exactly who Kaya van Hell was and where she was. Well... He would know as soon as Catherine would return. "If you actually start acting like you give a shit about it. Whining, sulking and living like some angsty teenage punk isn't exactly convincing. Getting revenge on someone like Kaya van Hell is bloody hard and there is no use to going all that trouble if this is what your doing it for.", the previously calm voice turned a little coarse.
Hartwin had spent years training young soldiers and officers to be, he'd be damned if he couldn't turn one sulky psychotic monster into a proper vampire.
First step had been compeleted - Hartwin knew what would motivate Luca.
Second step was motivating the young vampire.
Third was placing rules and expectations. So far no one seemed to expect much from Luca and Reed had basicly been letting him run around as he pleased.
"You will clean this place up. You will learn how to control your hunger and make it something to use as a tool instead of it using you. You will stop sulking, avoiding what you are and how you became to be what you are. When you can do that I can help you get your revenge." fosty looking blue eyes turned to look at the young vampire. As much as their owner was giving Luca an order, the eyes where challenging the little monster to take it.
"It's going to be the hardest thing you've ever done. Even dying isn't as bad.", so much for motivating. But the blue eyes where still challenging, daring to have the gutts to try.
There is a reason Kaya wanted to make vampires with a higher lust for blood, thristier. Hartwin was actually honestly curious to see how Luca would develope if he took the challenge.

The promise for help came as a total shock. Luca's eyes shot wide open and he immediately turned his gaze to the giant. He had disbelief in his eyes, and one could expect no less. He had thought that Hartwin hated his complete being and would have ripped his head off if he wasn't a member of the gang. But the promise.. It sounded too goog to be true.
Luca rose from his bed, looking at Hartwin with cold hatred. He listenend to his demands on which he would have to do if he desired to get help. Did he want help? Yes, he could use a bit help, as he had no clue about Kaya's whereabouts. Would he be willing to forget his humanity, and brace the vampire in him to do achieve that revenge? He probably was. As much as he had hated being a vampire, he had started to see their side of the story as well.
But would he be able to do it? The giant's question lingered in his mind. What made his pain so special, compared to many others? He didn't know. He had never thought about such things after being turned. Luca was bad when it came to emotions and thinking about them, he had always been that way. He understood mechanics and machines, but not humans. Nor vampires.
But the giant's words had given him something he didn't have before; courage to try. Courage to live. Luca looked down with his bloodred eyes and gritted his teeth. He was willing to try.
"I believe, that if I can achieve my revenge, I can live more freely.", He sighed again, out of habit. He wanted Kaya dead, and that was it. If he was to live after that, so be it.
"I'm willing to trust your words.", Luca lifted his head and looked at the giant vampire, but this time, he was smiling.

Hartwin had probably gone thru something a bit similar to Luca, after being turned into a vamprie. He had been furious and revengefull. In a completely different way from the small monsters approach, but the feelings where basicly the same.
The giant standing infront of Luca was almost the last of a dying breed. By that we're not saying vampires are a dying breed, they seemed to be doing rather well considering. But if you tried to find another vampire who had been a Second World War german officer with a higher class preusian upbringing - good luck.
That said, if the Heaven institute or the Hell organization where training soldiers like the nazi's used to make them - Chaos would have been in deep shit. Then again not many of the young vampires had the same upgringing as Hartwin had as a human. Simply because the world had chanced drasticly. To the worse or to the better? Probably both.
Luca was a smart kid, it was easy to see from the weapon he had worked. He was also a good fighter, not only techinically, but he also had instincts. Developable. Those wheren't qualities found in just anyone.
Chaos was really taking a turn to the bad and Hartwin wasn't stupid enough to think he could alone push the chance to a direction he wanted.
"Good. From now on you don't feed alone. You don't drink booze, use drugs on go on useless ass rampages.", the giant looked straight into the young vampires eyes and nodded. Once most of the bad habits and brooding where out of the way, they could really see what triggered Luca's psychotic events.
"You'll be only hunting with me or Ezzie.", Hartwin added, watching carefully how Luca would react to the darkhaired kittens name.

Luca nodded in agreement to the first demands. He could live without booze, probably, it was just his way of trying to drown his sorrow into something. Drugs he hadn't used ever so that wasn't even hard. But feeding with someone? That could be hard, at least Luca thought so. Who would want or have the time to run on his feeding schedule?
Hearing Hartwin's answer to his unspoken question, his expression grew darker. He didn't really hate Ezzie, but he was worried about the woman's attitude against him now, that he had gone and..Well, sliced her up. He then shook his head. "I'm sure Ezzie wont come near me again.", He grinned a bit sadly. He didn't like women but he didn't outright hate them. It was just that he didn't want to make friends, because he didn't want to grow attached to vampire life, since he was planning to end it short.
But now, if he was really planning to stay alive and become a true vampire, friends wouldn't be so bad, maybe. He had been social in his past life, so why not in this one? Thought he had been antisocial for as long as he had been a vampire, so refressing those skills could prove hard.
"And you, you wont be having the time to run after my feedings. As you know, my thirst is far greater than yours. I tried to supress it when I came to my senses after being turned, but I guess I'm too young.", Luca was obviously referring to his age as a vampire, when he talked about himself being too young. As a vampire he was still merely a baby, having hard time to controll his hunger.
But if he could start controlling his hunger, that would be a great. If he could forget his past and become a true vampire, he should be able to controll his hunger. But how could one let go of their past so easily? He thought that it wouldn't be easy. As Hartwin had earlier said, it would be one of the hardest things he had ever done. Maybe he would be able to let go, if he knew about Ryan..Maybe if he could find out wheter Ryan knew he was a vampire or not, could make it easier to forget about the man. Or maybe he should find a new love.
That wouldn't be easy, as he wasn't ready to opne his heart to anyone. He was afraid of being hurt.

As Luca started to ponder about his feeding scheduale fitting in with hunting with Hartwin, the german couldn't comptely avoid smiling a little. It was a slightly crooked smile, where only his left corner of the mouth rose. The giant desided to wait and see how long it would take the young vampire to realize what he was saying as regards to what Hartwin had said about how the little monster should be hunting. And that Luca needed to learn to control his hunger.
Controlling your bloodlust as a vampire was one of the trickier things. It was impossible for even some of the normal vampires and on top of that Luca's thrist was expectionally harsh. Hartwin needed to find out how much the little monsters mental state added to the problem.
"Ezzie most likely isn't as mad at you as much she feels like an idiot for letting her guard down.", the giant continnued to smile for a moment as he talked about his protege. Besides, Ezzie was just the second step. First Luca had to practise with Hartwin. It was kinda like... First trying to hold a egg made out of concrete on the top of your head without letting it fall. Then swapping it into one made out of the thinnest glass you can imagine.
It would have been unfair to make Luca try out with the glass one first. "You will feed twice a day at the most. No more. You can have two people in the morning, but just one at night.", Hartwin didn't mention how large the ones being eaten had to be, so if Luca was smart he'd start looking for bigger pray. If he carelessly ate the first opportunical prey he found - he'd most likely not end up getting the most benefit out of the limited victims he had. This would be something that might help, focusing on what is the most optimal prey and why. Making yourself hunt for the perfect victim instead of just eating.
Big people contained more blood, simple as that. It might not seem that relevant, but when you can only kill so many, every drop counted. Hartwin didn't know exactly how much Luca fed in a typical day, so he started with how the giant himself ate. And Hartwin wasn't exactly tiny himself so his need for blood was larger than an avarage vampire aswell. In a different manner than Luca, but still.

Two times a day sounded fair in Lucas ears, and what the giant had said about Ezzie.. Well, at this rate he would find out if it was the truth or not. As it seemed like Hartwin would eventually make him hunt with Ezzie, even if he wanted it or not. It didn't bother Luca so much, but he was used to hunting by himself, and he really was bad with making up conversations.
When one kept to himself for a decade, they forgot how to talk with others. Even as a human Luca had had a bad habit of closing up when he had troubles. Nowadays his life seemed nothing more than a trouble. But maybe, just maybe, he could pull it off and become a decent vampire. He thought that maybe everyone had gone through this phase, or atleast most of them, when they were turned. Luca was just a bit more reluctant to give up his human life, as he had spent years hating and hunting vampires.
He nodded to Hartwin. "Sounds like a fair deal.", He kept thinking too much and fell silent for too long periods of time before replying, which could get annoying. Luca got lost in his thoughts easily. "I will start with two in the morning, and one in the night, no trouble.", He was confident he could pull this off. If he could complete these "trials" set by Hartwin, he coulf probably get his revenge sooner than he had thought.

Hartwin gave Luca pretty much the same feeding scheduale the giant vampire himself used on a regular day. It wasn't exact science, days different. But whatever Kaya van Hell had done to the little monster when she turned him into a vampire had basicly made Luca an addict. Naturally one could call all vampires addicts, but Hartwin didn't really see it that way. Vampires where blood addicts as much as people where food addicts.
Recently turned vampires where just like babies, couldn't control their hunger and needed to eat alot. There was less puking, pooing and crying, but never the less.
Considering Luca's addiction was also vital for his survival, Hartwin couldn't just tell him to stop all together. If he could manage the scheduale given, they could start trying to cut down towards nothing to see how Luca could handle that. Testing his tolerance straight off with something as challenging wouldn't have been fair.
As far as it went with Ezzie and being social... Hartwin wanted to get Luca's physical attributes more clear (habits and lifestyle) before touching stuff that was really in his head. The little monsters antisocial atributes where clear, hence macthing him up with overly social and very boundless Ezzie seemed like something worth a shot. Ezzie didn't mind when others didn't keep up the conversation. She probably wouldn't even notice, being too bussy talking herself. Which could go both ways, it could either really annoy Luca or make him feel less pressure.
Ofcouse it might be somewhat uneasy between the two vampires at first, Luca had tried to kill Ezzie. But Hartwin knew he could persuade Ezzie to let go. Tho he would have to make very sure the girl was armed and aware, so she could flee if shit hit the wall.
”We'll head out at 6am. You need to have this place organized by then.”, Hartwin nodded and then turned towards the door. 6'am was a good time to hunt people on their way to work. Hartwin prefered it to 7am rushour, since there wheren't as many people on the streets. Enough to get good pickings, but not too many to pay attention to the large vampire. Moving around at daytime wasn't that easy for the almost 2meters tall monster.
As Hartwin tried to take his leave for today, he could only hope Luca was in helps reach. Since the strenght and fighting skill the little monster had combined with his mental state made a pretty damn dangerous mix.

Luca watched as the giant nodded at his..organized chaos. He grinned a bit. He wasn't good at keeping stuff where they should be, he always forgot them on the table when he started something new. But now he had promised to clean up. Luca hated cleaning. "Fine..", He sighed and watched at his chaos. How would he ever be able to clean up?
He watched as the giant was leaving. "I'll see you then.", He thought he had spoken a lot more in these few minutes that Hartwin had been there, than in all these years he had been a vampire. But it just showed how much he hated grouping up, nowadays. Althought something like this was actually pretty nice, talking to someone once in a while.
Luca still thought that he wouldn't be able to start being social, at least for now. First he'd need to say goodbye to his past and learn to control his hunger, only then he'd be able to "enjoy" being a vampire. Which he thought would be a million of years away.
But Hartwin was right about one thing; his revenge would be meaningless if he'd then throw away his life.

Hartwin did a concious choise with not specifying what he expected to see in the morning. He wasn't expecting Luca to have everything organized almost in a OCD manner. For example the germans tools here always in a logical order so they could maximise his use of time. Funny thing was, it's not like a vampire had to worry about running out of time already. The upbringing the the giant received as a human kept following him even in a more eternal excistance.
Same type of order might not be what Luca needed, but order in general should help the young vampire feel better. Clearer. How you lived was one of the reflections a person can give on how they see themselves. One's living enviroment also effected how they felt. Living crappy makes you feel crappy.
A creative chaos was a competely different thing than pure mess. In his odd 230-years Hartwin had met a few expectionally imaginative and creative vampires - yes, humans aswell - who thriwed their imaginations in the chaos around them. Personas who wouldn't have been able to bloom with clinical order around them. But Luca's lair seemed simply filthy. Dirt and useless crap around wasn't exceptable.
At the little monster's lairs door the giant stopped to take one more look around. It was a bit small to work with, considering Luca was both living and doing his weapon shop in the same place. That was a problem for later. First the little monster needed to find whill to live. Something to look forward to after he had gotten his revenge, which would seem even more important than the revenge itself.
"Good night.", the german nodded before he took his leave. Hartwin felt truly calmer, since he managed to do atleast somethin today that didn't end up biting straight back. It didn't mean the whole thing couldn't blow in his face later, but atleast it didn't fail before it started.
As he started to head back to his own place, Hartwin truly felt the weight of the last few days on his shoulders. He was tired enough to actually notice.
((Se tais olla siinä? *lähtee ostamaan Hartwinille semmosta leijonankesyttäjän ruoskaa* ))

Luca watched as the giant took his leave. "Yeah, same.", He replied to Hartwin's good night wishing and then turned to look at his messy little lair. Hartwin was truly right about cleaning up. But he didn't know where to start. Luca stood there for a good while before he actually got started.
6am was nearing as Luca was still cleaning up. He had organized his tools on the table and cleaned up the trash from the floors. He still had lots to do, but it looked a lot better already. He didn't even realize the time as he was cleaning.
Withtout anything but his pants on he continued to collect trash from the floor. With that out of the way, all that was left was organizing the rest of his stuff. He set out to organize his bookshelf. He looked at the books that were lying on the shelfs, and looked at the dust and trash that had piled up.
With a sigh he cleared it out. He had done a good work, in his own opinion. The whole room was pretty much clean and organized, at least when it came to Luca. Now he should just wait for the giant to return. He was already hungry, really hungry. Luca looked at his pile of clothes he hard organized into the shelf and chose clean clothes to put on for hunting.
Thinking of hunting made him even hungrier. Usually by now he should have already fed. His senses screamed for blood, but he would have to deal with it just a bit longer.

Punctuality was another deep rooted military habit Hartwin hadn't got rid off and wasn't even trying to shake. Time had chanced it's concept after turning into a vampire, but Hartwin didn't seem the point of neclecting keeping his time structured. He had seen vampires who spent their days drifting through it aimlessly. That didn't seem like an excistance the giant wanted to be living.
It might seem like being free, just forgetting about what time is since you're basicly immortal. It probably was very liberating every now and then, but as a complete life philosophy Hartwin would have called it apathic denial.
Hopefully Luca would start seeing having some structure in his life enjoyable. When Hartwin arrived at the little monsters door exactly 5:59am he kind of felt like he had taken a step back in time. To the days he had spent training young men to be soldiers. Men had chanced in the last 200-years. If they would still be in the 1930-1940's Luca would have been expected to be a fully grown adult in many ways. He'd probably have a family or atleast be engaged. Expected to provide for a family and have a place of his own. At the 2150's there was a whole new term for a person at Luca's age, if we where looking at what his age would be as a human compare to his vampire age. Young adult. There where no such things when Hartwin was young.
Hartwin didn't want to turn Luca into a soldier like he had done to hundreds of young men. He didn't seem the need to make Luca as strict and.. well.. not outgoing as the giant himself was. There was no reason the little monster couldn't also have fun and be his age. But first he needed to get his head in order.
The knock at Luca's door was a bang, which had very little to do with anger or intimidation. Big vampire, big fists.
